When Barbera and Phil came to us, they were living in a small house in Drumcondra and needed to make better use of the space they already had.
They wanted to create an extra bedroom and bathroom, but this was a big project for their home, so trust was a huge part of the process. Before any work began, we spent time talking through the options, answering questions and designing the space together so they felt comfortable with the plan and confident in how the finished attic would work for them.
We carried out a dormer attic conversion to give them the extra head height and floor space needed for a proper bedroom, rather than a room that felt tight or compromised. The project included an ensuite, warm roof insulation and all the structural work required to ensure the conversion was fully engineer compliant. Every part of the design was considered with Barbera and Phil, from the layout to the practical details, so the new space would suit the way they wanted to use it.
The finished dormer conversion has given them a bright, comfortable extra bedroom with its own ensuite.
It has added extra space to their home without the need to move. For us, the best part of the project was the trust built along the way and seeing how happy they were with the final result. In fact Barbera & Phil have since hired us again to complete a kitchen extension for them.
